Financial Aid

There are many types of financial aid available to students at UW-Madison. The Office of Student Financial Aid provides a breakdown of each of the different types of aid and detailed instructions on how to apply for need-based awards using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

UW-Madison offers an extensive scholarship program called Scholarships@UW. In order to be considered for scholarships, students must fill out the online application on their website. If you are interested in Study Abroad, check out the scholarships available through UW-Madison International Academic Programs.


Also, the IS Major is pleased to support students with the Newman Family Scholarship Award, applications for this award are available during the Fall Semester and recipients are announced in early Spring.

For students who are participating in conference or research activities, we also have Conference Travel and Undergraduate Research Award to support them.
